Team Dayton MMA – AKA Renzo Gracie Ohio CONGRATULATIONS!!! TEAM CHAMPIONS!

Team – I would like for you to take a moment here, and really read these words and absorb them.

This weekend, we competed at what I consider the best ruleset for our art – submission only held by Goodfight

Leading up to this, all of your hardwork was seen, not only by competitors but by those TEAMMATES that put in countless hard rolls while those competing also put in the same amount of rolls.

This is where you ALL showed that you ARE A TEAM. And not only a TEAM but THE TEAM in the area to beat. From the kids to the adults to the large group that showed up just to watch, cheer and support those competing – what I heard over and over – both directly and in passing – “Geeze, look at the ocean of Dayton MMA people here, they seem to really have a good team, wonder how they will do today…”

Then again in passing – “did you XYZ against that Renzo Gracie person – man they are tough”

I could not be more proud of your support, dedication and hard work as individuals and as a TEAM. What I saw as I stood back was this –

Others stepping in to coach unprompted, others letting people know they were called and walking with them as they went to compete, I saw people checking on each other after matches to see how they felt etc, I saw people going through positions and answering questions on what they may not have seen while competing – all the things that a true TEAM does for one another – this YOUR TEAM. I could not be more proud of all of you.

CONGRATULATIONS!!

We took FIRST PLACE – EVERY SINGLE person the academy can now compete in PA Dec 14th for FREE if we choose.

Please know how proud I am of all of you, how thankful I am for having the BEST people to be around day in and out as we learn this great art together. The culture of YOUR room is unmatched and the overall atmosphere you bring has cultivated such a powerful TEAM – we are very fortunate.

Thank you all – words are not able to be articulated for me to be able to express how proud of you all I am.
